Know Your Numbers

Money · 3-page PDF · 15-25 minutes

A starting inventory of income, bills, spending, and the questions you need answered.

What this workbook helps you do

Money becomes harder to manage when the numbers stay vague. Use recent records to separate reliable income, irregular income, fixed bills, and flexible spending. Estimates are a starting point; label them as estimates. Keep account numbers, passwords, and identifying financial records off shared worksheets.

A practice example

Use a practice month: $900 take-home income, $450 fixed bills, and $300 flexible costs leave $150 before irregular expenses or saving. The exercise is to check what that remainder must cover.
