DISCIPLINE. PURPOSE. LEGACY.
Mentorship, financial education, and accountability for young men (17+) in Los Angeles who are ready to execute a real plan.
We work with young men, parents, and community partners who are serious about long‑term change.
What Does "Militant" Really Mean?
When we say "militant," we mean disciplined, focused, and committed — not violent or reckless. The Militant Legacy Project trains young men to fight for their future with structure, accountability, and real‑world skills.

Meet the Founder
Sherman Perryman
Founder & Managing Director
Morehouse College. PMP certified. MBA Jewell College. 20+ years of career experience across Fortune 500 companies including Southern California Edison, Tesla Energy, and Wells Fargo — managing projects up to $15 million.
Author of Dead Men Can't Repent and From Grit to Greatness. Sherman didn't build the Militant Legacy Project from theory. He built it from lived discipline, professional execution, and a belief that mentorship should be earned through results — not degrees alone.
Growing up, Sherman didn't have a playbook. What he had was an obsession with discipline and a refusal to accept that his circumstances defined his ceiling. That mindset carried him from Morehouse College to a 20-year career leading high-stakes projects at some of the largest companies in America.
At Southern California Edison, he managed a $15 million grid modernization initiative. At Tesla Energy, he drove execution on utility-scale programs. At Wells Fargo, he built systems that moved money and managed risk across enterprise operations.
But the work that mattered most was always the work he did off the clock — coaching young men on credit, career planning, and the daily habits that separate intentions from outcomes. In 2025, he formalized that mission as the Militant Legacy Project: a nonprofit built on the principle that young men don't need more inspiration. They need structure, accountability, and someone who's done it.
Proof of Impact
Real Stories. Real Impact.
Sherman was instrumental in helping me start my tax business. He gave me the ins and outs of the industry—real knowledge and experience that set me up for success.
I asked Sherman to mentor my little brother who needed guidance and a man to look up to. Today, my brother owns a trucking company in Atlanta and just bought his first home.
My son wasn't going to graduate high school. Sherman took him in, pushed him—early morning workouts and all. He graduated. Now he's thriving in the United States Navy.
