When You Did Not Keep Your Word

Relationships · 3-page PDF · 15-25 minutes

A repair worksheet for missed commitments and a better next agreement.

What this workbook helps you do

Taking responsibility starts with naming the agreement without rewriting it. Explain what happened, acknowledge the effect, and identify what can still be repaired. A dramatic promise is less useful than a smaller agreement you can keep. Repeated problems may require a change in schedule, support, or expectations.

A practice example

A student missed a promised call. He acknowledges it, explains the conflict briefly, and offers two realistic times. He then sets a reminder and makes the next call.
